By Susan Smith

Snacks mostly complete our appetite after taking a full lunch or meal. Not only they are sumptuous, they also come in different flavors and types that are admired both by kids and adults. Sandwiches for example, are extremely in demand because of their appetizing and interesting taste.

Little that we know that there are different types of sandwiches each has its preparation tips and guides. One less familiar yet highly nutritious and delicious type is a cold po boy Louisiana. This is a traditional type of sandwich, mostly consists of meat or seafood depending on what a person prefers. Preparing this dish is, however, partly challenging. But with some ideas and advice, chances of getting good results would be ultimately be high. Here are some guidelines.

First, know the perfect bread type. Bread makes a sandwich complete and this is not exempted. Locally search bakeries that offer the right bread or better yet find good alternatives. French loafs are more preferable than baguette. Remember that this food need a crisp, soft and airy crust which is present in a french loaf rather than in a baguette.

Fill the food with a generous serving of either seafood or meat. Either way, the amount should at least be more than enough, not too less, to have a taste of all the rich and excellent flavor. Evenly distribute the serving to the loaves with the use of spreaders. As much as possible, have a sample taste with the food to see if it perfectly matches with the bread.

Do not forget the season. Just as how important the breads and the fillings to your dish, the season is of equal importance too. A generous amount of pepper, salt and some spice will do but you have to define the measurement to prevent an unequal taste that will ruin the entirety of a food. Use measuring cups and utensils to prevent combining the wrong measurement.

Dressing. When it comes to dressing, people always picture out the tomato, shredded lettuce top with mayo or ketchup or a combination of both. But what most experts suggest is to make sure that all dressings are properly washed. Use ingredients that are fresh, healthy and at least cold to maintain the crispiness and tastiness of the entire servings.

To increase the flavor of the treat, its best to integrate some flavorful sauces. For those who love spicy flavored ones, they can add a Tabasco sauce, for example. At the end of the day, you can choose whatever you prefer and does suit your taste buds. But make sure to put enough to avoid spilling the contents everywhere and create a huge mess on tables and floors.

Do not forget to place your dish to the fridge to retain its crispness and maximize its longevity. You can always heat in your oven anytime you want. Just remember to put it a cool storage every time you are unable to consume the whole serving to have something to eat later.

Be proud and happy with your made dish. Eat it by using kitchen utensils or with your own hands. Either way, digest it very well. More importantly, do remember to share some portions to your family members, friends and colleagues too.
