Oftentimes we think that we've got to put up our own resistance against a front that someone else creates against us. Being a bit confrontational can be thought of a pretty attractive. But in reality, there's just one thing that breaks down walls: being incredibly.
We are living in a tough world. Without doubt are there important acts of true bravery, passion, notability and heroism that run across the rivers of hate - but the reality is those acts of hate themselves truly begin to take a toll on our minds. Our past prevents us from living in the present, turns us into pessimistic beings sometimes and our built view continues our story until we or someone else comes in to help us break out of that cycle. This skepticism about life and humanity can be astonishingly hard and damn close to impossible to combat. But that's the point.
You are not meant to combat it.
You...are meant to have a soft touch.
We require more people in this world who are strong enough to be ridiculously gentle.
To genuinely love without condition. To give themselves regardless of being ungiven to. To give the world their best, day in and day out without any expectancy of return. We need a whole lot more of those people in this world. As I have found through this journey, life isn't about expecting a return. The times I have felt myself unhappiest were the instances when I had great expectations for those around me. Shakespeare himself declared, "Expectation is the root of all heartache." He sure appeared to have it right. When we expect others to do certain things or act certain ways we are going to set ourselves up to be disappointed. Do not expect. You can only control yourself.
Never let anyone else's perspective about life determine your own.
Take into account that everyone is going through something or other. It's really easy to be hard on people. But I know that's not why I'm here. I have been hard on people in the past. But now I know that my only job is to keep to my values and go throughout life spreading kindness and light. What other folks do is none of my business. Sure some of it "happens" to me, but that makes it even more important to stay true to what I do.
You cannot go all through life by avoiding having experiences and deep relationships with people. You have to put your heart on the line and learn. The only real way I ever got to this awareness is by trying continually. Regardless of how badly things go, you've got to keep on going. Truly allow the negatives to make you more bold.
Waste no time fretting about things that are not for you. Not many are going to love your brand. If you set a high quality standard for yourself - call yourself Hermes - not everyone is going to want to buy that. Don't fret about the people who hate on your brand. Continue your journey in becoming the best person you can presumably be and aim higher and higher. By the day let your goals get bigger. Always be competing with your potential.
Remember - be gentle with those around you. Love your heart out. Strength is truly shown in very many ways.
